Open Hearts
Open Hearts is a series of mixed media and watercolor pieces. I first began the series shortly after 9/11. I make art as a means of self healing and connecting with deeper meaning. The Open Hearts were very popular and I made over 200 of them before I stopped. Now, in these dark times, I have resumed the series.
The heart is the center of one’s being. The heart is the light and love that still exists beyond the life of the physical body and the beating organ. The ethereal heart is s portal, a doorway to the truth that resonates from within. The heart is our direct connection with the Divine. It connects the soul with all that is Light and Love.
